About this work:
Intended for children's beginning orchestra. Five movements: March, Little Fantasy on a Children's Chant, Waltz, Song without Words - Andante, A Little Rag. The final movement, A Little Rag, is for piano and beginning orchestra. Not difficult. This work was begun in 1991 and finished in 2011. It is dedicated to Mrs. Laura Hunt Parker's 6th grade class at Salem Middle School in Virginia Beach, VA. That class performed my RUSSIAN DANCE for beginning orchestra in 2011 and corresponded with me about their experiences with the work and the performance.
