About this work:
based on the story by Saki, part 1 of the opera "Beast and Superbeast." Chamber opera with two characters, caught helplessly in a disputed forest in a winter storm, the two feuding men have long wanted to kill each other but now they meet, ironically they can't. Waiting for their men to find them, they become friends and promise to end their feud and rejoice. As they call out to their men, whom they think they see in the distance, their "men" turn out to be a pack of wolves.
