About this work:

Begun at The MacDowell Colony in 2002 and finished later at the McLean home, the four songs are about the joy of fresh snow, the mystery of a clear frosty winter night with full moon , and the celebration of life.  These songs are dedicated to The MacDowell Colony, where the composer has spent many happy and creative residencies.
