About this work:
Together for Strings is music which utilizes four religious songs: Jewish, Islamic, Christian and India Hindu songs. The title refers to the superimposition of all four songs near the end of the piece....when they are all played at the same time.
The piece was suggested to me by Elm City Chamber Festival Music Director Sascha Mandl and the music is dedicated to the strings for the Elm City Chamber Festival (New Haven, CT).
