About this work:
It is hard to stand by helplessly as the world takes a turn for the worse - much worse. The news has been horrifying for months. The Russian invasion of Ukraine grinds on, American politics divide the nation along the same fault lines that led to the Civil War, mass shootings continue unabated, people are angry and frustrated, it seems, everywhere you look around the world. In the midst of it all, I sit home, crying notes.
