Three of the songs are set to poetry of Denise Levertov (The Rights, Folding A Shirt, Cancion); one is set to a poem by Francis Richardson (Lost Times). The songs are also available in a version for soprano and Bb clarinet. The first song is playful, the second is serious, the third is forceful, and the last tender.
