About this work:
Braxton was written for David Brock and was first performed at Abilene Christian University in 1974. The work employs percussion instruments of indefinite pitch in various registers, including triangles, suspended cymbals, bongos, timbales, a gong and bass drum. The piano is played inside as well as from the keyboard. The two instruments share equally in the rhythmic solo material.
