About this work:
This full length ballet entitled "Local Stops", was scored for live jazz quartet, and premiered at The Joyce Theatre in New York with The Eleo Pomare Dance Company. Mr. Pomare, a modern dance pioneer, choreographed a brutally honest and earthy view of urban life. Structured as a suite, each movement reflected the passions and local color of a particular neighborhood, and were titled as NYC subway stops such as "14th Street", "Christopher Street", etc.
