For piano 4-hands. "Lumbre" is a Spanish word, for the light of embers or glowing coals. The piece spreads thinly over most of the keyboard, with an emphasis on the upper reaches. The harmony is tonal, but with every degree of the chromatic scale able to freely flicker through the musical web.
