Commissioned by Ursula Krummel for Pacific Serenades.
Premiere performances took place in May of 2002 at several Los Angeles area venues. The performers were: Helen Goode-Castro - clarinet, Judith Farmer - bassoon, Brian O'Connor - horn, Roger Wilkie - violin, David Walther - viola, David Speltz - violoncello and Bruce Morgenthaler - bass.
