Composed for Philadelphia's Creative and Performing Arts high school orchestra on commission from the Network For New Music, Philly Rhapsody blends "The Philadelphia Sound" with "The Sound of Philadelphia." That is, blending the aesthetics of the Philadelphia Orchestra's elegance with the driving R&B Philadelphia soul style that Philly International Records is known for.
