About this work:
Inspired by the composer's visit to Monet's garden in Giverny France, this work has been called an answer to the gap in the repertoire - piccolo music in the French Conservatory style. Often used for recital and competition because it shows off the lyrical and technical strengths of the piccolo. Commissioned for Jan Gippo by the National Flute Association's piccolo committee. Movements are: 1) Les fleurs ravissantes, 2) Les jardins d'eaux, and 3) En ville. Published by Theodore Presser Company.
