Into the Woods for flute & tape (& dancer)

About this work:
"Into the Woods" was written for William Montgomery. The tape part uses sampled sounds from various ethnic musics, electronically modified. The "woods" are a grove where Debussy's Faun might dwell. Although the work can be performed by solo flute and tape, ideally there would also be a dancer and lighting. It is recorded by William Montgomery on electronic Music Foundation (wwws.emf.org) emf CD 045 and scheduled for publication by Arizona University Publications (www.AURec.com)
