His music is played with some frequency, and it's good stuff. His 'Conversations' for oboe, violin, viola and cello, written this year for Theater Chamber Players oboist Sara Watkins, is very good indeed, and its delicate textures and inventive ideas were handled beautifully here in a performance that was both carefully crafted and lovingly conceived."
