About this work:
"New Dawn" is a re-working of the 5 Tang Dynasty poems I set in "From Dawn to Dawn". However, instead of the texts being sung by a Baritone soloist, they serve as the subject matter for each of the five movements: I"Spring Dawn", II "Early Morning Meditation", III "Passing Beauties", IV "Evening Flute Song", and V "Saying Goodbye".
"New Dawn" is available on "Masterworks of the New Era" label, with the Kiev Philharmonic conduced by Robert Winstin (ERM 6707)
