About this work:
"New Dawn" is a re-working of the 5 Tang Dynasty poems I set in "From Dawn to Dawn". However, instead of the texts being sung by a Baritone soloist, they serve as the subject matter for each of the five movements: I"Spring Dawn", II "Early Morning Meditation", III "Passing Beauties", IV "Evening Flute Song", and V "Saying Goodbye". "New Dawn" is available on "Masterworks of the New Era" label, with the Kiev Philharmonic conduced by Robert Winstin (ERM 6707) Score and parts are available from the composer at: mossy1@comcast.net
