Instrumentation notes: The trumpets include two trumpets in C and two trumpets in B-flat. The trumpet 1 and trombone 1 parts include aleatoric sections in which duration, rhythm, and dynamics are ad lib., and the work features the use of glissandos, fluttertonguing, and 5/8 meter.
