Instrumentation notes: The two trumpet parts are written for C trumpets. The percussion can be played by either one player, or divided between two players. Percussion instrumentation includes: 3 timpani, bass drum, tenor drum, side drum [i.e. snare drum], tam-tam, suspended cymbal, triangle, Egyptian cymbals in B flat [i.e. finger cymbals/zills], woodblock, tambourine, and crash cymbals.
