Canyon Voices

Monica Houghton

About this work:
Think of this work as a sonic postcard of the Grand Canyon. In this music I have tried to convey a feeling of immense space, and of the light, and of the power of the Colorado River, as it carves its way down through older and older layers of rock, until it becomes submerged beneath the surface of Lake Mead.
