Movement IV

Ernesto P. Pellegrini

About this work:
This work was first performed in 1979 by Rolf Schulte at the 35th Annual Composers Conference which took place at Johnson State College in Vermont. It exemplifies those particular tendencies which this composer manifested in the seventies. Highly motivic in nature, the work is expressed without bar lines in order to demonstrate a free sense of rhythm; it also explores many of the instruments’ contemporary technical and timbral aspects. The work can also be found in the SCI Journal of Music Scores Series (Vol. 29, 2000).
