Transmigration

George Spicka

About this work:
Transmigration is the representation of the transformation of a pristine river into a center of heavy industry. Starting with the sounds of seagulls and lapping waves, the listener, though never moving an inch, ends up in a land of ceaseless machine generated noise. Sounds were created with a Roland D-20 synthesizer, Proteus Orchestrator module, and a sound effects library. Processing was done with an Ensoniq DP-4 effects unit.
