About this work: For violin and string orchestra. Composed for Alison Mitchell, one of my students, the solo part is moderately advanced while the orchestral parts are in 1st and 3rd positions only to be played by a school or youth orchestra.
Movements:
“Patch of Sunlight” (Allegretto)
“Harlequin in Love” (Andante d’amour)
“Spaniards” (Tempo di habañera)
Movements 1 and 2 are suitable for a level 3-4 orchestra; movement 3 would require a level 4-5 orchestra. Review score available on request. Contact composer for more information.
