About this work:
Jaunty angular music inspired by the harpsichord and playable on either piano or harpsichord. In three movements: flowing arpeggios and occasional jazzy rhythms in the first movement; In the second movement Baroque-influenced bird trills and woodpecker motifs lead into spirited "splashing" music with hand-sized note clusters; the third movement is a scherzando allegro in uneven rhythms.
