About this work:
Inspired by the Arthurian story of Tristan and Isolde, Cornwall Hunt is a lively fantasy with quotations and motivic material from the hunting music of Wagner's Tristan and Isolde, Act II. Challenging and fun to play with a modal medieval character alternating with the hunting calls. Paired with Isolde's Garden.
Performed by massed horn choir at the IHS conference at Eastman in 1997.
