About this work:
A synthesis of Cuban folkoric music and contemporary jazz. Written around a canto for the Orisha known as Babaluaye from the Yoruba pantheon, but specifically in the Arara dialect from Dahomey, by way of Cuba.
Extended improvizations. Composition is tonal and rhythmic, solos are harmonically open.
