Priemered in Baltimore, MD on February 28, 2003, at the Creative Alliance. 220 bpm. - Though a city of extreme beauty, which has been home to artists and poets who have created some of the world’s greatest cultural treasures, St. Petersburg was also a center of war and conflict. Wanting to introduce democracy and declare the abolition of serfdom, there occurred on December 14, 1825, the Decembrist Rebellion, the first armed insurrection against the ruling autocracy. It was “suppressed in the cruelest way.”
