Janus II is a work for young players who are interested in improvisation and spatialization. The score suggests a number of sonic ideas and an order. The rest is up to the performer. Integral to the piece is the placement of two performers in the hall and the use of speakers placed opposite those players. A great introduction to these two trends of the last 30 years.

Instrumentation notes: The score calls for French Horn, guitar or violin, clarinet or saxophone. Clarinet can double on any other clarinet, saxophone can double on any other saxophone. Loudspeakers and microphones are also required. Optional Closed-circuit TV.
