About this work:
The 9th movement of the "St. Petersburg Suite." It commemorates the 09/08/41 - 1/27/44 attack by Nazi troops, “The most tragic period in the history of this city.” At least 640,000 perished. Of the four “jazz” pieces, it is the most technically difficult for the piano. 24 measure form.
