About this work:
urban folk opera in 2 acts, on aphonia (inability to communicate) in New York's Little Italy, that opened and closed in Boston, never making it to Broadway, originally starring Evelyn Lear, Eddie Albert, Kaye Ballard et al, containing much lovely music, a great deal of which was reused in other Blitzstein works, both by Blitzstein himself and by his posthumously authorized completor, Leonard Lehrman.
