About this work:
"schizo 'squito" was commissioned by Shannon L. Thompson, a faculty member at West Carolina University, and was premiered in February of 1996. The music mimics the antics of a schizophrenic mosquito. Very sudden contrasts in style and register occur throughout most of the piece, thus giving this work it’s "schizo" title.
