Panther Fire was commissioned by Miriam Muniz-Schwab and the 1995-96 Pflugerville Middle School Panther Band. It is an energetic work which features the horns in a lyrical middle section. It received first prize in the 1996 National Band Association Grade III/IV Composition Competition and is published by Southern Music Company.
