This trio is based on the poetry of Langston Hughes, the titles taken from a series of the poems. The Byers Family trio premiered Harlem Soliloquy June 5, 2004 at Steinway Hall in New York City. Patrick Byers (husband), piano, Marissa Byers(Patrick's daughter),clarinet, and Jennifer Byers, cello.
