About this work:
Apres la Lumiere is the violin sonata companion to the cello sonata Lumiere written in 1993. This sonata depicts the various stages of night beginning at dusk and ending with dawn. It is a subtle, lyrical work with rhythmically intense moments depicting both the solitude and the passion of the night. The work has also been transcribed for viola and cello.
