Commissioned by the improvising ensemble SoNu, Repudiation and Sacrifice (Music in Service of Revolution) is an homage to and critique of the music and politics of Cornelius Cardew. Quotations from Cardew's music and writing are woven into a complex web of composition, grooves and improvisation, and extensive electronic processing.
