About this work:
The Songs of Love are really The Songs Of Solomon. I renamed them because I feel they reflect a more secular than Biblical love. It is a cantata for Soprano, contralto, tenor, chorus, and orchestra. The seven movements are: My beloved Spoke, This Is My beloved, Whither Is My Beloved, Set Me A Seal, Thou Art Fair, I sought Him But Found Him Not,and I am My Beloved's. Instrumentation: 2-,Flt, Ob, Bb cl, Bsn, 2-F hn, Bb tpt, tbn, tmp, 2-perc, hrp, (min) 4-1st vln, 2nd vln 3-vla, 2-cel, 1 c. bs. (double strings for max.)
