"Grand Ledges" was commissioned by Grand Ledge High School, Grand Ledge, Michigan for the Grand Ledge Symphonic Band conducted by Michael Kaufman. The piece depicts the "Scenic Tour" on Michigan Highway 22 in the northwest region of Michigan's lower peninsula.
