About this work:
This is a solo marimba composition. It was composed in 2004 for performance by Jennie Dorris, a musician who lives in Boulder, Colorado. My intentions were to explore the use of a tango beat in a contemplative context, with a Bach-inspired theme to develop through several tonal centers.
