About this work:
composed for duo pianists, Claire Aebersold and Ralph Neiweem, directors of the Chicago Four Hand Piano Festival celebrating in 2005 their 20th anniversary as duo pianists. Air From a Balcony is the third movement of four. As young students in Italy the duo first dreamed of a lifetime commitment standing together on a balcony overlooking the Italian hillsides.
