Beyond the Blue Horizon, commissioned by the National Symphony Orchestra, Leonard Slatkin, Music Director, was composed while the events on September 11th unfolded. The work is about going beyond what we know and see, and breaking through to the other side of joy and abundance in the face of violence and tragedy.
