About this work:
Bodies in Motion is a four movement work based on paintings done by Thomas Eakins. The first movement is a study of light and dark in his works, the second and fourth movements are based on two of his portraits, while the third movement is based on his usage of time motion photography. Bodies in Motion was commissioned by WHYY-TV director and producer Glenn Holsten for his new film, Thomas Eakins: Scenes from Modern Life, and is available as both a DVD and CD recording.
