About this work:
This is a piece inspired by Amy Lowell's poem "Lilacs" with its images of lilac bushes that grew all over New England during Lowell's lifetime 1874-1925 and my childhood. The performance is from a concert played in April, 2007 by the Arcadia Chamber Players: Mary Chapman, flute, Marina Antoline, clarinet, Sylvia Liu, cello, and Debra Sutter, piano
