About this work:
American Composers Alliance (www.composers.com); a virtuosic fantasy for solo cello that alternates lyric and polyphonic passages with episodes of more relaxed structure. The original version of 1972 was premiered by David Moore and subsequently recorded by Fred Sherry (CRI CD 759). The 2005 revision incorporates substantial notational improvements suggested by Mr. Sherry and was among the works chosen in the Hultgren Solo Cello Competition and recorded by Craig Hultgren.
