American Composers Alliance (www.composers.com); commissioned and premiered by the Hudson Valley Philharmonic (NY) under Imre Pallo, this work takes its clue from an excerpt from the diaries of Henry David Thoreau. Thiis second Thoreau fantasy (following In Wildness is the Preservation of the World) continues the exploration of the natural world in musical representations. Recorded by the Polish Radio National Symphony under Joel Suben (Albany Records CD TROY 491).
