About this work:
This sextet was first performed in Washington, D.C. on November 14,1997 in the Sumner School Museum. It was performed again at the Ellipse Arts Center in Arlington,VA on April 9, 1998. The music begins with a lyrical first section, continues with a dramatic middle section and concludes with a lyrical section ending in poetical peace. It includes two short cadenzas, one for Bb clarinet and one for flute.
