A Short Suite

Paul H. Kirby

About this work:

This work was originally written for an orchestra of 3 violin parts.  Optional viola, cello, and bass parts were added later to make the work useful in situations such as Suzuki groups or school orchestras that have a preponderance of violins, as the work is performable without lower strings, but the optional lower string parts are added because a teacher/conductor would want to include and encourage any of those instruments that are present.  This work can be performed complete or any of the movements can be performed separately.
