About this work:
A capella madrigal settings of texts from Benjamin Franklin's Poor Richard Almanac are countered by texts by Oscar Wilde and Mark Twain. Movement titles are: "Success," "A Stitch in Time," and "Pursuit of Happiness." "Success" was commissioned by the Minnesota ACDA and Minnesota Music Educators Association for the 1990 All-State Male Chorus. "A Stitch in Time" and "Pursuit of Happiness" were commissioned by Philip Brunelle's VocalEssence.
