I am especially interested in amateur performers these days. I'm in the midst of a series of works for young performers of different levels. I have written a cello quartet, an oboe/piano duo, and just finishing a Magnificat for three treble instruments, accordion, piano, and young singer.
I've been influenced by Dominick Argento's approach to words for inspiration. I'm composing a piece based on diaries and have an interest in composing using a method taught me by English composer, Judith Bingham.
