About this work:
Dedicated to T. Fats Waller - last movement is a - very colorful - theme and variations on 'Ain't Misbehavin'. Second movement is lyrical and dramaitc, third is colorful and focuses on texture. The First movement includes elements from the following movements and it's own material. The piece begins with a juxtaposition of humor and passion... there is much fanfare... the finale is wild and enthusiatic - a good closer which induces the standing O.
