About this work:
This work was composed in response to the events of 9/11 and was premiered October 27, 2002 at North Shore Congregational Church, in Fox Point, WI, by the Chancel Choir, under the direction of Richard Kieffer. The text is derived from fragments from the Book of Common Prayer: "O Lord, we pray for those we love but see no longer. Grant them Thy peace. Let light perpetual shine upon them, and in Thine almighty power grant them safe lodging and a holy rest, and peace at last. Amen."
