the river nore

Terri Schmit

About this work:
An hour drive south of Dublin, Irelend, and nestled in a valley surrounded by castles and ruins, rests the quiet town of Inistioge. A 12th century ten-arched bridge, the only path in or out, provides access for residents, visitors and commercial traffic to this delightful retreat. The bridge spans a meadow through which the River Nore runs, gently meandering, parting and reuniting, as it winds its way through the town and out of sight.
