Infinity (for D.A.R.)

Timothy J. Brown

About this work:
(strings, brass quintet, timpani, marimba) A shorter work for orchestra which begins quietly and ends in an uplifting spirit, as if day were breaking. This work uses pandiatonicism and the pentatonic scale, and is reminiscent of Aaron Copland. The inspiring event behind its composition was a glimpse that love can, in fact, be bottomless. It is dedicated to the individual who caused that glimpse. Dance or choreography would work well with this music. The score and parts are available on rental from the composer.
